Titanfall 2’s Twitter account needs to maybe calm down a bit

Did you get those tips we sent you?

Titanfall 2 is an amazing game that may not have performed as well as EA and Respawn had hoped in terms of sales numbers. The game’s Twitter account seems to be taking matters into its own hands by bringing it up to just about anyone who mentions they may be thinking about trying a new game, or are just thinking about Titanfall 2.

The Titanfall 2 Twitter account has gotten “in trouble” before by kinda sorta starting some beef with some other, perhaps more popular games, and the game has already gone on sale for some significant savings. It’s easy to imagine some social media manager sitting in the Respawn office somewhere, chugging Red Bull after Red Bull, frantically tweeting at people online who may be thinking about dropping some money on a video game in the near future.

It’s not the worst strategy in the world, but it looks a bit desperate when taken all together.

Have you thought about accepting Titanfall 2 into your heart? Do you have a moment to talk about the good word of Titanfall 2? Hey, don’t slam the door ...

What about Titanfall 2?

Titanfall 2 has officially become the awkward co-worker who corners you to ask what you’re doing this weekend while bringing up the fact they have nothing going on, really, but watching a movie with you and your friends sounds fun and they can bring some beers and you’re trying to adjust your body language until they get the message and it’s going poorly. So poorly.

Just to be clear, Titanfall 2 is pretty great. If you’re looking for a new game you could do worse.

The next level of puzzles.
