Shin Megami Tensei is headed to Nintendo Switch

It’s in Unreal Engine

Atlus is bringing a Shin Megami Tensei game to Nintendo Switch. The developer brought a short teaser for a game in the popular role-playing game series to the Nintendo Switch unveiling event, streamed live from Japan this evening.

The role-playing game is currently in development, and it will use Unreal Engine 4, according to its debut trailer. Atlus revealed no other details about when to expect the Shin Megami Tensei title to launch, although it will be the next entry in the beloved, long-running franchise.

Most recently, Shin Megami Tensei 4: Apocalypse launched on Nintendo 3DS. Nintendo also collaborated with Atlus on Tokyo Mirage Sessions #FE for Wii U. The well-received role-playing game, which launched last June, is a crossover between the worlds of Shin Megami Tensei and Fire Emblem.

The Nintendo Switch launches on March 3 and will cost $299, the company revealed at the top of its live event.
