People play the Mass Effect games for many different reasons, and we can all get something out of the game. I’ve always enjoyed the feeling of having my own ship; the act of bringing together a crew and inspiring them to fight against impossible odds to save the galaxy or even just help others on a smaller scale is very satisfying.
Also, it’s super cool that you can have sex with so many different aliens.
“In the past we’ve been very, eh, I’d say somewhat formulaic in the way we presented them. We’re trying to look at more organic ways to have those relationships evolve,” BioWare Creative Director Mac Walters told IGN in an interview at last year’s E3. “Aaryn [Flynn] talked on stage today about offering more freedom to players than ever before, and that includes areas like this as well — how you engage in those types of relationships and the gating around them throughout the timeline of the story.”
But they’re not done talking about relationships and sex. Because social media can sometimes be a force for good in the world.
Mass Effect: Andromeda’s producer tweeted the following yesterday, which seemed like a pretty normal thing for someone to do:
So whaddaya think of them? Questions? https://t.co/zSjqpo29uR

Someone then asked who they could bang. It’s a valid question, and Gamble gave the best possible answer:
@steimer @masseffect so many. And the banging is pretty good.

It’s like the heavens opened up and told us that yes, people get it on up there. And it’s pretty good when they do.
