Arc System Works will release a new version of Guilty Gear Xrd — the fighting game’s third iteration — called Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 this spring in arcades and later on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4 and Windows PC.
The biggest additions to Guilty Gear Xrd are two new characters: Answer and Baiken.
As seen in the announcement trailer released by Arc System Works this weekend, Answer is a “business ninja” who emerges from hiding to take important phone calls. He also uses business cards bearing his contact details as projectiles in battle. Like any respectable video game ninja, he also boasts an izuna drop as part of his moveset.
Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2’s other new fighter is Baiken, a longtime series staple. She appeared in the original Guilty Gear released way back in 1998.
Arc System Works will release Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 as a stand-alone product for PS4. Players can also upgrade to Rev 2 if they own Guilty Gear Xrd Revelator on PS3, PS4 or PC.
