This year’s Evolution Championship Series — the preeminent fighting game tournament better known as Evo — will feature nine games as part of its featured lineup, including Street Fighter 5, Tekken 7 and Injustice 2, organizers announced today.

Eight games were announced as part of the main tournament, with an additional ninth game to be determined by fans. Players will be able to vote for Evo 2017’s ninth game by donating to a charity fundraiser on Indiegogo’s Generosity website.

The eight confirmed games for Evo 2017 are:

  • Street Fighter 5
  • Tekken 7
  • Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2
  • Injustice 2
  • Super Smash Bros. Melee
  • Super Smash Bros. for Wii U
  • BlazBlue: Central Fiction
  • The King of Fighters 14

Half of the announced official tournament games will be new. Last year’s tournament featured Mortal Kombat XL, Pokkén Tournament, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Killer Instinct.

Fans may still be able to get one of those games in Evo 2017, however. The titles up for contention via fan vote are Arms, Killer Instinct, Mortal Kombat XL, Nidhogg, Pokkén Tournament, Skullgirls, Super Street Fighter 2 Turbo, Ultimate Marvel vs. Capcom 3 and Windjammers.

This year’s Evo tournament will be held July 14-16 at the Mandalay Bay Events Center in Las Vegas.
