New Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer shows off weapons, aliens, combat

New gameplay and environments

A new Mass Effect: Andromeda trailer hit last night during Nvidia’s CES keynote.

The trailer, which you can watch above, shows off new environments and gameplay. The game “puts you in the role of the Pathfinder; an elite soldier, explorer and guide tasked with finding humanity a new home in an uncharted galaxy,” according to the official description on YouTube.

Earlier this week, Electronic Arts announced that the game will launch March 21 in North America on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One. It will hit the rest of the world on March 23.

Andromeda is the next game in the Mass Effect series, but not a direct sequel to Mass Effect 3, which wrapped up Commander Shepard’s journey through space.

The first gameplay trailer debuted during the Game Awards 2016 last month. Before that, we all got a cinematic look at the upcoming game on the annual Mass Effect N7 day.

Mass Effect: Andromeda was originally set for a holiday 2016 launch, but publisher Electronic Arts pushed the game back to “early 2017.”
