Disney has released a new clip of Emma Watson performing “Belle” from its upcoming Beauty and the Beast live-action adaptation.
The TV spot aired during the Golden Globe awards on Sunday night. The video doesn’t have too many new scenes, but you can hear Watson singing one of the animated classic’s most iconic songs. “Belle,” which was originally sung by Paige O’Hara in 1991, features Belle walking through town, singing about her day-to-day life.
There’s a glimpse of Watson actually singing the song, but the TV spot focuses mainly on the Beast and Belle’s introduction, Chip the teacup and, Gaston with his band of angry villagers. Disney previously released an audio clip of Watson singing a snippet of “Something There” from the film.
Beauty and the Beast is the latest animated film from Disney to get the live-action adaptation treatment. Last year, Jon Favreau directed a spectacular version of The Jungle Book, and the studio has also seen films like Cinderella, Alice in Wonderland and Maleficent get reimagined over the past six or seven years. The studio has plans to make live-action versions of Mulan, The Little Mermaid, The Lion King, Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs and a few more.
Beauty and the Beast will be released on March 17, 2017.
