The Evil Within 2 guide: Chapter 14 collectibles

Burning the Altar

In this guide, we’ll show you where to find the collectibles in The Evil Within 2’s 14th chapter, “Burning the Altar.”

The Evil Within 2 is full of things to discover, seek out, find and collect. Some of them are useful, like ammo pouches or locker key statues (those knee-high statues scattered around). These get you something immediately(ish) helpful in your journey through Union. The other things you can pick up are just purely collectible. They’re not useful except to satisfy your completionist urges.

Theodore’s scripture 1

Tango Gameworks/Bethesda Softworks

This paper is on an altar at the far end of the first room you enter. You’ll pass it while walking into the next room (which is the only way out of here).

Assault rifle ammo pouch

In the second room, hug the right wall, walk up the stairs and turn right. In the room with the mirror, look on a desk along the left wall to find the pouch

250 weapon parts

Tango Gameworks/Bethesda Softworks

In a pile of bones at the southwest corner of the large, open area you arrive in after taking a couple of flights of stairs, you’ll find an “investigate” prompt and 250 weapon parts. (We won’t point out every one of these items hidden in bones, but this is pretty great, so we did. Just keep an eye out for these piles throughout the area.)

Locker key statue

In a room (the one with flames behind a chainlink fence) at the eastern edge of the large, open area, take a left to go down a small hallway. About halfway down, look into a mine cart to find the statue.

Theodore’s scripture 2

Between the second and third floors, you’ll see a door on your left (between staircases). Enter the room, and this paper is on a table opposite the door.

Handgun ammo pouch

On the third floor, turn right and hug the wall until you see a closed door. Open it, and enter the room. Inside, on a table to the left, you’ll find this upgrade.

Locker key statue

Tango Gameworks/Bethesda Softworks

After you defeat the ground-crawling spawns, a gate will lift and reveal a staircase. Before going up, face the staircase and turn left. The locker key statue is on a pipe high above you. Use your flashlight if you can’t see it.
