In the run up to its highly anticipated Stranger Things follow up, Stranger Things 2, Netflix has released a spooky new tease for the series on its Facebook page.
Shown entirely as footage playing on a television, we see a series of ’80s-era ads and TV show clips, along with some teasing references to the new season. The Palace Arcade, first seen in Stranger Things 2’s San Diego Comic-Con trailer, takes first billing. We are told some very useful information about how to play VHS-C tapes, and then we get our first real reference to upcoming plot elements, as a local news segment covers Chief Hopper investigating a mysterious blight on the town’s pumpkin fields.
Finally, everybody’s favorite middle school science teacher, Mr. Clark, tells us all some fun facts about the human body’s reaction to fear.
Stranger Things 2 will be available to stream on Netflix, on Oct. 27.
