Nintendo is finally ready to reveal its new Animal Crossing title for mobile devices as part of a Nintendo Direct presentation. You can watch that stream here, starting at 11 p.m. ET/8 p.m. PT, or on Nintendo’s YouTube and Twitch channels.
Today’s presentation is expected to last about 15 minutes. Nintendo says it won’t focus on anything but Animal Crossing for mobile devices during the Nintendo Direct — “There will be no updates on any other topics including other mobile, Nintendo Switch or Nintendo 3DS software,” Nintendo said.
News on Animal Crossing for mobile has been a long time coming. Nintendo first announced the project in spring 2016, when the title was set to be one of the first smartphone applications published by Nintendo. The release of Super Mario Run led to Nintendo rejiggering its mobile rollout plans. The company hasn’t put out a new game for iOS or Android since Fire Emblem Heroes in February.
