Peter Parker and Miles Morales come together in new Spider-Man trailer

New trailer shows off some more in-game footage

Sony Interactive and Insomniac Games showed off a little more of what Peter Parker was capable of in new Spider-Man footage.

The footage was demonstrated during Sony’s PlayStation presentation today at Paris Games Week. In the new footage, Peter Parker and Miles Morales were brought together at last, as Spider-Man protected New York City from harms way. We were able to see Spider-Man in action during E3, which showcased the superhero taking advantage of his environment in a way that was reminiscent of Batman in Warner Bros. Interactive’s Arkham series.

Insomniac Games included a stinger at E3 that confirmed the appearance of a different Spider-Man entirely: Miles Morales. It looks like he’ll play a bigger role in the game than we first thought.

Spider-Man was first revealed to be in development at E3 2016. Jay Ong, Marvel’s vice president of games, told Polygon that Spider-Man marked the start of what’s to come.

“Is Spider-Man a signal of things to come? Oh, yes. Absolutely,” Ong said, “And we can’t wait to tell the world about it."

Spider-Man, a PS4 exclusive, will be released in 2018.
