Splatoon 2’s spooky new Splatfest: vampires vs. werewolves

While European Splatoon 2 players are set to debate the proper way to hang toilet paper on a roll this weekend, Nintendo Switch owners in North America will soon be asked to weigh in on which is better: vampires or werewolves?

Actually, it’s not exactly clear what next weekend’s Splatfest is trying to sort out. (Which is cooler? Which is scarier? Which would you rather be turned into?) But it’s a timely topic that will no doubt divide the Splatoon 2 player base. Should they choose stupid vampires, or really cool werewolves? It will undoubtedly be contentious.

As noted in the tweet from Nintendo’s Versus account, Splatoon 2’s next Splatfest for North America kicks off Oct. 13 at 9 p.m. PT. Previous ‘fests have debated the superiority of ketchup versus mayonnaise, the benefits of flight versus invisibility, and which is the better side order, McDonald’s French fries or Chicken McNuggets?
