This December, Dead Rising 4 will get a new mode that will let Frank West battle hordes of zombies as Capcom’s most famous characters. The new mode, Capcom Heroes, will see Frank assume the powers and abilities of Dante from Devil May Cry, Cammy from Street Fighter, X from Mega Man and many more.
In a new trailer for Dead Rising 4’s Capcom Heroes mode, we get a look at those characters — and another, Ghost Trick’s Sissel — as well as some classic Dead Rising characters. The Frank of Dead Rising 4 will also be playable as Classic Frank from the first game in the franchise, as well as Adam the Clown and Zombie Frank, in Capcom Heroes.
Capcom says there will be “over a dozen outfits pulled from the Capcom archives” for Frank to wear. Capcom Heroes will be an alternate way to experience Dead Rising 4’s story; players will find arcade cabinets that give Frank new Hero Outfits.
“In addition to using the arcade machines, Frank can purchase some outfits from vendors and unlock others by finding collectibles hidden throughout the world,” Capcom said. “Players will also want to look for ‘Hero Training’ side missions which award outfit variants and upgrades.”
Capcom Heroes will be released on Dec. 5, when Dead Rising 4: Frank’s Big Package comes to PlayStation 4. The mode will also be released as part of a free update for the Windows PC and Xbox One versions of Dead Rising 4, which originally shipped in December 2016.
