Mark Hamill, who plays Skywalker, first tweeted about the trailer last month. He hinted that it would debut during a Monday Night Football game, much like a previous trailer for The Force Awakens. Hamill quickly deleted the tweet, following it up with a statement confirming Disney and Lucasfilm would announce the trailer’s debut date when they were ready.
Star Wars: The Last Jedi will be released on Dec. 15.
Update: Tickets for Star Wars: The Last Jedi went on sale earlier than expected. You can purchase them now, but they’re going fast!
