Injustice 2’s next downloadable fighter pack will bring the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles to NetherRealm’s fighting game. Fighter Pack 3 will include Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo and Leonardo, alongside two DC Universe heroes, Atom and the Enchantress.
A release date for Fighter Pack 3 was not announced, though Atom will be available in early access on Dec. 12.
The additional of the Ninja Turtles, Atom and Enchantress will bring Injustice 2’s roster to 41 (or 38, if you count the turtles as a single character). NetherRealm has released two add-on Fighter Packs already: the first included Red Hood, Sub Zero and Starfire; the second included Black Manta, Hellboy and Raiden.
The Ninja Turtles previously crossed over into the DC Universe, thanks to 2015’s six-issue mini-series Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. DC, Nickelodeon and IDW Publishing announced a sequel to that series earlier this year.
Donatello, Raphael, Michelangelo and Leonardo have appeared in fighting games before in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Tournament Fighters for the NES, SNES and Sega Genesis, and in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Smash-Up, Ubisoft’s Super Smash Bros.-like fighting game for Wii and PlayStation 2.
