Pokémon Ultra Sun and Ultra Moon will bring back everyone’s favorite villainous organization, Team Rocket — but the group is now bigger and badder than ever. Now known as Team Rainbow Rocket, enemy leaders spanning the entire franchise will stand in players’ way as they fight to protect the Alola region.
Team Rainbow Rocket will be headed up by the iconic head of Team Rocket, Giovanni, whom we last fought way back in Pokémon Red and Blue. Standing alongside him are several other familiar bosses, like the heads of Team Plasma (from Pokémon Black/White) and Team Flare (Pokémon X/Y).
Why all of these foes are banding together isn’t clear yet, but we’ll be sure to find out during the game itself. It’s actually surprising that it’s taken this long for the Pokémon world’s most vicious enemies to tame up and try to take down these preternaturally gifted preteen trainers.
