Black Friday is filled with great deals on games and electronics, so we thought it would be helpful to pick out 20 of the best deals and some personal selections on what games and systems would make great gifts for others ... or treats for yourself. You can check out the rest of the Black Friday coverage if you want to go in-depth, but this post is a great place to start without feeling overwhelmed.

There’s something for everyone, so jump in and enjoy!

Xbox One S 500 GB

$189.99 (regularly $279.99)

Don’t want to spend the money on an Xbox One X but still want to play Xbox One exclusives? This is the system to grab. This is Microsoft’s official Black Friday pricing for the Xbox One S from Nov. 23-27, so this deal is available pretty much everywhere. Some retailers are throwing in bonuses (Target includes a $25 gift card with purchase). Here are a few of the online retailers selling the discounted system:

Xbox One wireless controller

$39.99 (reg. $59.99)

You can never have enough. Or maybe the one you have has a button that sticks, and who likes that? Just like with consoles, there’s a standard deal that seems to be available pretty much everywhere: a $20 discount on Microsoft’s official Xbox One controllers, which drops the price to $39.99 from $59.99.

Grab one from online retailers like Amazon, Best Buy, Walmart or the Microsoft Store.

PlayStation 4 1 TB

$199.99 (reg. $299.99)

Don’t have a PS4? This is the cheapest way to jump in. This is the official Black Friday price, straight from Sony. Some retailers are throwing in extras, including Kohl’s with a $60 store gift card Costco, which is throwing in an additional controller. Here are a few of the online retailers selling the discounted system:

Update: though it looks like Amazon might have a few left at times, the PS4 slim is otherwise sold out there and everywhere else. It was a good deal while it lasted!

PlayStation 4 Pro

$349.99 (reg. $399.99)

Most retailers aren’t cutting the price on Sony’s high-end system this holiday season, however — only one store has a discount on the PlayStation 4 Pro. GameStop will have the system on sale for $349.99, a $50 savings.

PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 controller

$39.99 (reg. $59.99)

The going price for DualShock 4 wireless controllers this season appears to be $39.99, a $20 savings. Grab one from Amazon, Target, B&H or Toys R Us. If you’re looking for one of the translucent “crystal” DualShock 4 controllers, check Best Buy, GameStop or Walmart.

PlayStation VR

$199.99

Sony’s virtual reality system. You’ll still need a PlayStation Camera, but GameStop has a great price for a great piece of hardware.

Oculus Rift with Touch controllers

$349.99

Reality is pain. Virtual reality has robots you can shoot in the head. This deal at Amazon and NewEgg lets you do that while saving $50.

Assassin’s Creed Origins
Ubisoft

Assassin’s Creed Origins

$34.99 (reg. $59.99)

One of the best games in the franchise is almost half price during Black Friday. Best Buy and Target will have Assassin’s Creed Origins for just $34.99 on Xbox One.

Call of Duty: WWII

$39.99 (reg. $59.99)

The latest Call of Duty just came out, so a $20 markdown on the PlayStation 4 version at Best Buy is a pretty good deal. Read Polygon’s review of Call of Duty: WWII to see if it’s worth it to you. You can also grab the PC version at Amazon for $39.99.

Destiny 2

$29.99 (reg. $59.99)

Be prepared to lose a ridiculous amount of free time. Get a copy from Target for $29.99. Update on Nov. 23 at 2PM EST: Amazon has it for $27 for PS4 and Xbox One, while supplies last.

Horizon: Zero Dawn

$19.99 (reg. $39.99)

Guerilla Games’ open-world adventure might not get the recognition it deserves when end of year accolades are being handed out, but you should definitely play it. Fortunately, you can do that on the cheap at Best Buy and Walmart.

Overwatch

$29.99 (reg. $59.99)

You know what this is. Everyone’s favorite hero shooter is going to be $29.99, like, everywhere (Best Buy, Target, Walmart, etc.). Even Blizzard is selling Overwatch through Battle.net for half off during Black Friday.

Prey

$20 (reg. $39.99)

Criminally overlooked — in part because so many good games came out this year — but worth a look for $20 with Xbox Live Gold and $23.99 without.

Resident Evil 7 biohazard

$15 (reg. $29.99)

It’s scary. It’s inexpensive. It can be played in virtual reality. It is worth $15 if you don’t already own it. It’s one of Target’s Black Friday deals.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus
MachineGames/Bethesda Softworks

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus

$24.99 (reg. $59.99)

Another great deal on one of the year’s best games. Best Buy will have the PS4, Xbox One and Windows PC versions for just $24.99. Update on Nov. 23 at 2PM EST: Amazon now has it for $24.99, as well.

Hori Nintendo Switch Splatoon 2 Splat & Chat Headset

$16 (reg. $29.99)

The headset is just OK, but the adaptor that lets you connect any headset with a microphone to your phone to use the Switch’s voice chat app is worth the price of admission. Amazon has it for cheap.

Asus ROG G752VS laptop

$1,779 (reg. $2,499)

Ready for some VR on the go? This laptop will get you there without breaking the bank. Much. Grab it from Newegg.

AMD Ryzen 7 1800X 8-Core 3.6 GHz CPU

$319.99 (reg. $499.99)

Save $180 on this popular, well-reviewed desktop process at Newegg. They throw in a Quake Champions champion pack as well.

EVGA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti

$779.99

It’s not cheap — but it does come with a free copy of Destiny 2 — and can add some serious power to your gaming rig. Grab it from Newegg and B&H and B&H.

Sony Gold Wireless Stereo Gaming Headset

$59.99 (reg. $99.99)

This is a great value for a versatile gaming peripheral. Great sound, works as a microphone, and the USB dongle lets you use the headphones on your PC or laptop. Get it from Amazon for $59.99.
