Toys R Us will receive additional stock of the SNES Classic Edition and Nintendo Switch in stores the week of Nov. 27. Don’t expect either system to last long, however; the retailer expects limited quantities.
The SNES Classic will be back in stock first, on Nov. 27. Customers should arrive at stores ahead of their normal opening hours for their best chance at picking one up. (At least one competitor — namely Best Buy — will also have more SNES Classics in stock over the holiday shopping weekend.)
Two days later, on Nov. 29, Toys R Us will receive new shipments of Nintendo Switch systems. Switch stock will likely be constrained through the end of the year, as the system is one of the more coveted gifts this holiday. In a blog post, a Toys R Us rep said that the retailer expects that the consoles will go fast; buyers are once again encouraged to line up ahead of time.
These restocks apply to brick-and-mortar locations, and stores across the U.S. will receive both consoles. Although the week after Thanksgiving is traditionally peak online shopping season, Nintendo fans will need to set foot in a physical Toys R Us location to take advantage of the refreshed inventory.
