Sony is kicking off 2018 in style as far as PlayStation Plus is concerned, offering a terrific lineup of free games for subscribers that includes Telltale’s Batman adventure game and the latest Deus Ex title.
Plus subscribers on PlayStation 4 will be able to download the first season of Batman: The Telltale Series, which began in August 2016 and concluded with its fifth episode at the end of that year. The other PS4 game for January is Eidos Montreal’s Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, the well-received 2016 sequel to 2011’s Deus Ex: Human Revolution.
PS4 owners will also be able to get both of January’s PlayStation Vita games — Cowardly Creations’ Uncanny Valley and 5pb’s Psycho-Pass: Mandatory Happiness — thanks to Sony’s cross-buy program. The two free games for the month on PlayStation 3 are Keen Games’ Sacred 3 and King Art Games’ The Book of Unwritten Tales 2. All six games will be available free from Jan. 2 to Feb. 6.
January will also offer a bonus game to Plus subscribers: Starblood Arena, an arena combat title from SIE San Diego Studio and White Moon Studios. It will be available free from Jan. 2 through March 6. Note that Starblood Arena requires PlayStation VR. In addition, Warframe players can get the PlayStation Plus Booster Pack II Bundle for free until Feb. 13, 2018.
In the meantime, Plus subscribers can still download December’s free games.
Update (Jan. 2, 2018): Happy 2018, January’s PlayStation Plus offerings are now available.
