Since it’s no longer enough for a studio to just release a trailer on YouTube, instead spending hundreds of thousands of dollars on creating a tease for that first reveal, we have some new Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom footage.
The 15 second clip, which debuted during Sunday Night Football on NBC last night, confirms that a full-length trailer will be released on Thursday. The brief glimpse we did get of J.A. Bayona’s Fallen Kingdom, the sequel to Colin Trevorrow’s Jurassic World from 2015, does promise more or less of the same. There are giant dinosaurs roaming freely and, when something in them snaps, human gatekeepers are targeted.
The tease gives us a short look at Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard, both of who will reprise their roles as Owen Grady and Claire Dearing. We also get to see some of Justice Smith (The Get Down, Paper Towns), who will be appearing in the series for the first time.
Again, this was just to whet fans’ appetites, as the full trailer for Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom won’t premiere for a few more days. We’ll have that trailer the minute it goes live.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom will be released on June 22, 2018.
