Jason Roberts’ illustrated, inventive (and long-awaited) puzzle adventure game Gorogoa will be released on Thursday, Dec. 14, publisher Annapurna Interactive announced today.
Gorogoa is part storybook, part point-and-click adventure. In each of the game’s hand-illustrated scenes, players are presented with four tiles, which they can move, stack and zoom in and zoom out of. The game’s story, described as a “subtle and complex fable,” unfolds as players explore Gorogoa’s visual illusions.
For more on the game, which deserves not to be spoiled, read Polygon’s feature interview with Roberts.
Gorogoa will be released on iOS and Windows PC via Steam and GOG.com. The mobile version will cost $4.99, while the PC version will retail for $14.99. A new trailer for the game is posted below.
