Batman takes on Jack the Ripper in trailer for animated Gotham by Gaslight

It’s time for Batman to visit the 19th century

Batman has faced countless villains during the many years of his vigilantism, but taking on England’s nefarious serial killer, Jack the Ripper, is a tad different.

A new trailer for Gotham by Gaslight, Warner Bros. Animation’s newest feature project based on Brian Augustyn and Mike Mignola’s one-shot, which kicked off DC Comics’ fantastic Elseworlds series, finds the Dark Knight stalking the mysterious murderer. Jack the Ripper is known for his grisly crimes that took place in East London, but in Gotham by Gaslight, Jack has managed to cross the pond. As Jack the Ripper stalks the streets of Gotham, it’s up to Bruce Wayne and Selena Kyle to stop him once and for all.

Warner Bros. will follow up Gotham by Gaslight with Suicide Squad: Hell to Pay, and the first of a two-parter centered on the death and return of Superman; Death of Superman will be followed up by Reign of the Supermen.

Gotham by Gaslight will be available to purchase on Blu-ray and DVD Feb. 5, 2018. The digital version of the film will be available to download on Jan. 23, 2018.
