Bridge Constructor meets Portal in Bridge Constructor Portal

Aperture Science comes to the physics puzzle series

Valve’s Portal series is returning in two weeks with Bridge Constructor Portal for Windows PC and mobile devices. The adaptation of the Bridge Constructor physics puzzle series launches Dec. 20 for Mac, Windows, Android and iOS.

Versions for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One will follow next year, according to the announcement from Headup Games.

Bridge Constructor, developed by Headup Games and published by ClockStone Software, has been around since 2013. In it, players construct spans and supports to allow traffic to flow from one part of the level to another. Half the fun is failing spectacularly, watching a bridge collapse and taking traffic with it.

Bridge Constructor Portal will introduce the Portal gun, rebound barriers and other implements common to Portal and Portal 2’s levels in challenging players to get from point A to point B. Three screenshots below give a better idea of what it’s about.

Portal’s last full game was 2011’s Portal 2, though its characters have since cameoed elsewhere. Most recently, protagonist Chell and the familiar Sentry Turret and Companion Cube were part of Lego Dimensions when it launched in 2015.
