Geoff Keighley’s annual video game award show extravaganza, The Game Awards, is back for its fourth year. The ceremony, which is being broadcasted from downtown Los Angeles, is expected to honor the best in video games over the last year, as well as debut new trailers for upcoming titles. We’re also anticipating a few exciting new game announcements throughout the event.

Most importantly, The Game Awards may give us another opportunity to spot last year’s breakout star from the event: the Schick Hydrobot mascot.

Tonight’s Game Awards kickoff at 8:30 p.m. ET/5:30 p.m. PT, and can be watched through your preferred platform. The show will be streamed via YouTube, Twitch, Twitter, Facebook Live, Steam and Microsoft’s Mixer platform. We have the YouTube livestream embedded above. If you prefer to watch the show via a home console, the ceremony can also be watched through Sony's PlayStation Network and Microsoft's Xbox Live.

With the “how to” out of the way, let’s address what’s on everyone’s mind. What can you expect out of The Game Awards this year? Indie band Phoenix will perform on stage at some point during the show, following a strong performance from Run the Jewels last year. We’re also expecting a pretty good night for Nintendo; The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Super Mario Odyssey are nominated for a total of 12 awards, including Game of the Year.

Don’t be surprised to see new footage of Hideo Kojima’s upcoming game, Death Stranding. Kojima, a good friend of host and award show organizer Keighley brought a new trailer for Death Stranding to last year’s Game Awards. Interesting new developments for PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds, including a more in-depth view of the game’s new map, are also expected.
