The 89th annual Academy Awards are set to take place this Sunday, and just ahead of the telecast, artists have redone a number of the posters for many of the nominated films to include characters from Overwatch, Pokémon, Deadpool and more.
A number of the posters were uploaded into an Imgur post by user diablien earlier today. Each contains a link to the artist’s page where the poster can be purchased. There are 10 posters in total that diablien managed to find and post, but there are many more on Red Bubble, Society6, Ript Apparel and more e-retailer sites that carry art from its users.
One of the best posters is this rendition of Hell or High Water, which stars Jeff Bridges, Chris Pine, Ben Foster and is nominated for four Academy Awards, including Best Picture. In the new version, which comes from Coinbox Tees, Bridges, Pine and Foster’s characters have been replaced with McCree, Roadhog and Junkrat. The name of the movie has also been changed to Hell or High Noon, referring to McCree’s ultimate ability, but it should also be noted that McCree’s name has been spelled incorrectly on the poster.

Another great rendition is a Pokémon take on Zootopia. Disney’s animated movie, which is nominated for Best Animated Feature Film, was one of the company’s most successful. The film generated more than $1 billion worldwide, making it one of the most successful movies of 2016 alongside Rogue One: A Star Wars Story, Finding Dory and Captain America: Civil War. In the alternate poster, which was designed by Prime Premne, the various Pokémon take on the role of the animals prevalent in the movie. It’s important to note that Judy Hopps, the main character in the film, is being portrayed by Pikachu, while her best friend Nick Wilde is reimagined in the form of Meowth. Like Hell or High Noon, the alternate poster also has a new name for the movie: Pokétopia.

The last poster that we thought was too good to ignore, designed by trheewood, is a hilarious take on the most nominated movie of the year, La La Land. In place of Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling dancing in Los Angeles underneath a singular streetlight, Deadpool and Wolverine have taken their place. Deadpool is still wearing Emma Stone’s famous yellow dress from the movie, while Wolverine is in a suit, claw outstretched. It’s one of the funnier revamped posters, and much like Hell or High Noon and Pokétopia, it has a new name: Ta Ta Taco, a reference to Deadpool’s love for the food. Deadpool did not receive a nomination at this year’s Oscars — much to the surprise of many who assumed it would — but it was one of the most successful superhero movies for Fox last year, bringing in almost $785 million worldwide.
