Everything leaving Netflix, Hulu and HBO Now in March

To make room for new programming on Netflix, Hulu and HBO Now, certain films and TV shows have to be removed, and all three streaming services will feel the pinch next month.

On Netflix, the most significant departure consists of the Jaws movies. Jaws, Jaws 2, Jaws 3 and Jaws: Revenge will all be gone as of the first of the month. It seems that Netflix is slowly getting rid of titles that don’t exclusively belong to the service. You may notice that none of the titles on the departing list are Netflix exclusive or Netflix original titles. The company has previously confirmed it wants to make its library 50 percent original series, and while that includes investing more than $6 billion into exclusive content produced in-house, getting rid of certain titles also helps.

Unlike Netflix, most of the movies and shows leaving Hulu won’t happen until the end of the month. Jackass Number Two, Jackass: The Movie and There Will Be Blood are just a couple of the movies that will be leaving. Over on HBO Now, a series of Oscar-nominated and award-winning movies will leave. Brooklyn, The Danish Girl and Capote are just a few of the movies listed. Like Hulu, they’ll be available until the last of the month, though.
