Job Simulator developer Owlchemy Labs is known for pushing the boundaries of what is possible in its own games, but a weekend project at the studio apparently combined the act of performing white collar tasks in a dystopian future ruled by robots with the sweet, sweet action of Blizzard’s Overwatch.
The result, complete with Widowmaker’s sniper rifle, Reaper’s twin guns — which are now represented by two staplers — and even Mei’s freezing weapons is bizarre, but way too much fun to watch.
It’s not just that there are so many nods to Overwatch characters and action in this brief clip, the enjoyable part is how Owlchemy used existing items from Job Simulator to try to hack together each aspect of the Overwatch characters and weapons, complete with slowly moving payload. In terms of fun weekend projects that are bound to get you at least a little publicity, it doesn’t get much better than this.
Enjoy!
