SteamWorld Dig 2 is coming to the Nintendo Switch, as revealed during Nintendo’s indie game showcase this morning.
The action-adventure platformer is a sequel to the 2013 release, developed by Swedish indie studio Image and Form. The first SteamWorld Dig hit Nintendo 3DS and Wii U, among other consoles.
SteamWorld Dig 2 will launch sometime later this summer, Nintendo announced. It’s not yet known if it will come to other consoles like the previous game, including Nintendo 3DS.
The Nintendo Switch will be available to purchase on March 3 for $299. The console’s eShop will go live sometime on launch day, Nintendo announced last week. That’s where console owners can expect to pick up indie titles like SteamWorld Dig 2 and other games highlighted in the showcase, like Yooka-Laylee, Overcooked Special Edition and The Escapists 2.
