Stardew Valley, Thumper and 62 other indie titles confirmed for Nintendo Switch

Will release throughout the year

Nintendo today announced more than five dozen indie titles will be coming to the Nintendo Switch over the course of the year, including Shakedown Hawaii and Overcooked Special Edition.

The showcase, which highlighted indie games on the hybrid console, confirmed a few titles and their release dates or windows. Yooka-Laylee, Steamworld: Dig 2, Overcooked Special Edition, The Escapists 2, Shakedown Hawaii, Stardew Valley and Runner3 are just a few of the titles that received a special mention from Nintendo.

In total, Nintendo confirmed 64 indie games. The games will hit the console throughout the year, with many slated for a summer or fall release. Nintendo added that new titles will launch on the eShop every week, after the eShop goes live following the console’s Friday launch.

A few titles didn’t make Nintendo’s presentation but were mentioned by the company in a news release after the event: Thumper, Perception, Ultimate Chicken Horse, Rogue Trooper Redux and NBA Playgrounds. Some games, including Celeste, The Binding of Isaac, Fast RMX, Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment and Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove were previously confirmed as Switch titles by Nintendo and the various developers.

We’ve collected all of the games that Nintendo announced today in its showcase presentation along with a few notable highlights. Included in the list is their expected release window and whether or not they will be timed exclusives to the Nintendo Switch. The full list can be seen below.
