Nintendo has revealed the results of its Fire Emblem Heroes election, which saw fans voting on their favorite characters from across the series. Based on the response to the poll, the company will introduce not just two special fan-voted characters as promised, but an additional pair as well.
Based on the final tally that the company tweeted last night, Ike from Fire Emblem: Path of Radiance and Lyn from Fire Emblem: The Blazing Blade won by a landslide. Both heroes maintained their leads throughout the voting period, based on a midterm ranking Nintendo published last week.

Even with Ike’s multiple appearances in games splitting the vote, the character amassed far more votes than any other male hero. (Roy, the second-place winner, got 22,000 fewer votes when combining both of Ike’s appearances.) The gap between Lyn and the runner-up, Lucina from Fire Emblem Awakening, was a bit smaller, at almost 10,000 votes.
To commemorate their wins, Lyn and Ike will get “Choose Your Legends” versions in-game at a later date. But silver medalists Lucina and Roy will also receive special new versions for Fire Emblem Heroes.
If we were first-place winners Lyn and Ike, we’d feel a little bit annoyed about how this invalidates our achievement. As fans of the free-to-play game, though, we can’t complain about more content.
