Justice League fans can finally see Aquaman in action with new underwater clip

Director Zack Snyder is in the editing bay

Zack Snyder is hard at work on Justice League, the followup to last year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, and the director shared a new video featuring VFX footage today showcasing one of its heroes: Aquaman.

The clip is being hosted exclusively on Vero — a social media site equivalent to Instagram and Twitter. One Twitter user, however, managed to capture the video and share it. You can’t hear anything in the video, but you can see Aquaman (Jason Momoa) swimming up to someone.

Although Aquaman has appeared in previous trailers, this is the first times Snyder has highlighted the underwater sequences. In other clips, Aquaman is above ground, or coming out of the water.

Momoa has already signed on to star in his own Aquaman movie, which is being directed by James Wan (Furious 7, The Conjuring). The stand-alone will follow Aquaman, otherwise known as Arthur Curry, after he learns he is the heir to Atlantis and must take on the role of leader for his people.

Aquaman made a brief appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, but will make his full debut in Justice League. Justice League will be released on Nov. 17, 2017 with Aquaman scheduled to be released on Oct. 5, 2018.
