A movie based on Square Enix and United Front Games’ Sleeping Dogs is in development, according to a report from Deadline. The movie will reportedly star actor Donnie Yen, who recently starred in Rogue One: A Star Wars Story and is the lead in the Ip Man series of films.

Production company Original Film, which has a pedigree in action fare like the Fast and Furious franchise, will produce the adaptation of Sleeping Dogs.

In the Sleeping Dogs video game, players assumed the role of Wei Shen, an undercover Hong Kong-American police officer who infiltrates and attempts to take down a criminal organization from the inside. Players had to fight their way up the ranks without blowing their cover. Actor Will Yun Lee portrayed Wei Shen in the video game version.

Sleeping Dogs was originally released in 2012 for PlayStation 3, Windows PC and Xbox 360. A “Definitive Edition” re-release hit PlayStation 4 and Xbox One about two years later. Developer United Front Games worked on a spin-off title, Triad Wars, which was canceled in 2015. United Front shut down late last year.
