A new entry in the long-running Fire Pro Wrestling game series is coming to PlayStation 4 and Windows PC, publisher Spike Chunsoft announced today. Fans will get a first taste of the new Fire Pro Wrestling World soon, thanks to an Early Access release on Steam.
The new Fire Pro title looks like it will retain the same stark presentation the franchise is known for, focusing on deep customization and gameplay mechanics. You can check out first footage of Fire Pro Wrestling World in the debut trailer above.
Spike Chunsoft plans to include a variety of match types, including “Deathmatch (steel cage, barbed wire or landmines), MMA rules and no-holds barred Gruesome Fighting.” Fire Pro Wrestling World will feature online exhibition matches, tournaments, leagues, championship bouts and battle royals, as well as customization for wrestlers, rings and logos.
Fire Pro Wrestling World will be available on Steam Early Access sometime during the second quarter of 2017. The game’s PS4 release is still listed as TBD on the game’s official website, and Spike Chunsoft says the PC version will be in Early Access for “a few months.”
The developer says the Steam Early Access version will be fully playable with “online matchmaking and basic editing tools” at launch. The developer says its looking to incorporate feedback from fans on what they want to see in a new Fire Pro.
