Justice League trailer unites DC’s biggest superheroes

But where’s Superman?

Until today, DC fans have had to rely on Zack Snyder tweeting small snippets of new Justice League clips or returning to the debut footage from last year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Now, Warner Bros. has released the new trailer for Justice League, finally bringing together Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Cyborg and Aquaman on the big screen for the first time. There’s no sign of Superman yet, but Henry Cavill has confirmed he will appear in the movie. Fans will recall that Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ended with Batman and Wonder Woman attending Superman’s funeral.

Justice League is the fourth movie in the DC Extended Universe (DCEU), preceded by 2013’s Man of Steel, last year’s Batman v Superman and this year’s Wonder Woman. It will introduce Aquaman, Cyborg and the Flash, who will also receive their own stand-alone movies. Batman will also get his own stand-alone movie, simply being referred to as The Batman right now, but it’s unclear when that will arrive. The movie has undergone major issues at the studio, with Ben Affleck dropping out of directing the project and scripts being scrapped.

Justice League, which will be Snyder’s third movie in the DCEU, will be released on Nov. 17.
