Star Wars Battlefront 2 officially revealed its trailer this afternoon at Star Wars Celebration in 2017, confirming what was seen in a trailer leaked earlier in the week. The game will launch Nov. 17, 2017 on PlayStation 4, Windows PC and Xbox One.
Star Wars Battlefront 2 will include a single-player campaign, something players of the first Battlefront wish had been included. The protagonist is an elite TIE Fighter pilot. Star Wars Battlefront 2 promises combat “across all eras” of the Star Wars canon, as the cameos by Darth Maul and Yoda would suggest.
Star Wars Battlefront, which launched in 2015 and just wrapped up its schedule of premium downloadable content extensions, was set in the time of the original trilogy. Battlefront 2 will take its cues from the aftermath of the Battle of Endor, beginning with the explosion of the second Death Star in 1983’s Return of the Jedi.
