In-store only, not expected to last long

The Nintendo Switch is back in stock at GameStop, the retail giant announced this morning, saying it had replenished supplies in time for Friday's launch of Mario Kart 8 Deluxe.

The console is being sold in stores only and is not available for online sale.

The Nintendo Switch launched March 3 and, common to many new hardware products from Nintendo, finding it on shelves has been difficult. Several retailers have announced resupplies in the weeks since, quickly selling out each time.

The Switch is $299.99. GameStop is offering a $200 credit toward one with the trade-in of a 32 GB Wii U, PlayStation 4, Xbox One or Nintendo 3DS. The trade-in offer is good through Sunday, April 30.

In a statement, a GameStop executive warned consumers that supplies will not last through the weekend. So it's probably a good idea to check with a local store before venturing out to get one.
