As rumors of an incoming revamp abound, Pokémon Sun and Moon have five new reasons to keep players interested. A handful of giveaways are now live in the Nintendo 3DS games, including both the rare mega stone items and a version exclusive Pokémon that Sun owners will be sure to want.
From now until June 5 at GameStop, visitors can pick up codes for the Pokémon Lycanroc, which comes in its Pokémon Moon-exclusive “midnight form.” The rock-type wolf only evolves into this more threatening variation when it evolves from Rockruff at night, and only in Pokémon Moon. That makes it a good get in particular for anyone who owns Pokémon Sun and has yet to trade for the Pokémon.
Also available is a selection of four new mega stones to use in Sun and Moon. These power-ups are compatible with Pidgeot, Steelix, Houndoom and Heracross, unlocking their special mega forms. To unlock them, players need only enter the password “AZUL” on the Mystery Gift menu screen.

The catch is that none of these four Pokémon are native to Sun and Moon’s central region, Alola, so players will have to import them through the Pokémon Bank app. That’s a small price to pay for getting some new, cool versions of classic Pokémon to play with, however — literally: Pokémon Bank costs $4.99 annually.
