The Arms Twitter account has calculated the stats from last weekend’s first “global testpunch,” which wrapped on Sunday afternoon. Among the seven characters available in the beta, three emerged as players’ top picks thus far — giving us a hint at who we should keep an eye out for next weekend.
The game’s most popular fighter across all regions was the ninja-styled Ninjara, according to the Arms account, followed closely by the ramen-themed Minmin. (Anecdotally, we definitely saw a ton of Minmin during our playtime — if not quite as many Ninjara. But the stats don’t lie.)
ARMS協会が分析した結果、「ウデだめし前半戦」で特に人気のあった2人が判明しました!第1位がニンジャラ、僅差で2位にミェンミェン、という結果でした!パチパチ~

While players gravitated to both characters, neither one had the highest win rate during the game’s first beta. Instead, it was Mechanica who pulled in the most victories over her fellow fighters. She may have an advantage over the others, thanks to her hefty suit of armor — so you might start seeing her a whole lot more this coming weekend, when the second of two testpunch events kicks off.
Arms’ second beta starts this Friday in North America. The game is out June 16.
