In Episode 40 of CoolGames Inc, Nick and I joked about the Nintendo game of our dreams: A title in the vein of Super Mario Maker, which allowed the user to create their very own, hyper-customizable plumber brother. We pitched that idea months ago, and to our surprise, Nintendo failed to pick up the ball and run with it.

So we said: Hey, screw it. We’ll grab that ball. We’ll run with it.

After working with a dedicated team of independent, anonymous contractors, we’re pleased to present the fruits of ... well, their labor. It’s called Super Mario Bros. Maker, and it’s more powerful than any of us could have possibly imagined. Join myself, Nick, our silent partners and temporary consultant Justin McElroy as we try our hand at brothercraft. In the above video alone, we manage to mold three exciting, highly merchandisable new citizens of the mushroom kingdom. Put these bad boys in a kart, gang. They’re ready to roll.
