Pillars of Eternity began as a Kickstarter campaign called Project Eternity.

Today Paradox Interactive announced that it will be publishing two of its most popular titles on modern consoles for the first time. New editions of Pillars of Eternity and Cities: Skylines, custom built for modern consoles, will arrive this August.

Isometric role-playing game Pillars of Eternity: Complete Edition will include the original PC game and The White March DLC in its entirety. The game boasts a massive narrative arc with more than 80 hours of content in the base game alone. That includes multiple, branching storylines and several possible endings. The game is expected to be released on August 29.

Pillars of Eternity 2: Deadfire recently finished a spectacular crowdfunding run on Fig, and is in development for PC. You can read more about the game in our feature story.

Cities: Skylines, the heir to the SimCity empire, will be completely remade with console controls in mind. First released in 2015, the title has exceeded everyone’s expectations to be the defacto leader in the city-building genre. The Xbox One version was released in April, and the PlayStation 4 version is expected to arrive on August 15.

Prices for the games have not yet been announced.
