Conan O’Brien mocks BoJack Horseman’s Will Arnett for working up a sweat in Arms

Clueless Gamer welcomes the Switch

It was only a matter of time before the Nintendo Switch made its debut on Conan O’Brien’s “Clueless Gamer.”

The comedian went head-to-head with BoJack Horseman and Arrested Development actor Will Arnett in Arms, Nintendo’s new fighting game. What started out as a quick “boxing” match between friends quickly became a game of strategy, lying and cheating — the way Nintendo would like players at home not to play.

It is interesting to note who Arnett and O’Brien picked as their fighters. O’Brien went with the first option, Spring Man, while Arnett chose Kid Cobra. Neither of them even glanced at Helix, Arms’ most divisive character. Poor Helix never got his chance to shine on national late night television. Although depending on which Arms fan you ask, that might not be a bad thing.

Clueless Gamer” is one of O’Brien’s post popular segments. Following the success of other late night segments, including James Corden’s “Carpool Karaoke” and Jimmy Fallon’s “Lip Sync Battle,” TBS president Kevin Reilly confirmed it would be turned into its own YouTube series.

“We're going into production next month on a new series, Clueless Gamer, based on the viral video he's done where he essentially makes fun of video games, gets celebrities to play and makes commentary on them,” Reilly told The Hollywood Reporter in January. “We've gotten to the point where video game companies are sending us their new product for us to play and make fun of because it's been such a huge success. We're going to go into production on a series of that.”
