Xbox Games With Gold features Kane & Lynch 2 and more in July

Hooray ... ?

Microsoft is kicking off the summer with a relatively weak slate of free Xbox Games With Gold titles for July.

Xbox One owners will get Ubisoft Reflections’ Grow Up all month long. The follow-up to the highly regarded Grow Home, it was originally released last August. From July 16 to Aug. 15, the other free game will be 13AM Games’ Runbow, a well-received multiplayer platformer that debuted in August 2015 as a Wii U exclusive. (This represents the launch of Runbow’s Xbox One version.)

On the Xbox 360 backward compatibility side, IO Interactive’s Kane & Lynch 2: Dog Days will be free from July 1-15, while Lego Pirates of the Caribbean: The Video Game from Traveller’s Tales will be the free game for the second half of the month.

In the meantime, Xbox Live Gold subscribers can pick up three of the four titles from June’s better lineup, including Dragon Age: Origins.
