PlayStation is celebrating this year’s E3 with a nine-day sale that includes discounts on games, accessories and a special gold PlayStation 4 priced at $249, the company announced this morning.
The sale will run from June 9 to June 17.
The gold-colored PlayStation 4 includes a similarly shaded controller and 1 TB of storage. It will be the only version of the PS4 on sale during the week-long event, according to the company. And it will return to the standard PS4 price of $299 following the sale.
News about a temporary price drop for a gold PS4 first leaked out late last week after one was spotted by a shopper in Walmart. When the customer went to buy the console, though, the clerk quickly tucked it away and said it wasn’t for sale.
The console was also spotted at Target. A matching gold DualShock 4, listing for $65, was also spotted on Best Buy’s website.

Sony hasn’t yet broken down what else will be on sale, in terms of software, but we’ll update this post once the company does.
