A Pokémon-themed Nintendo Direct presentation will stream tomorrow, June 6. The event will last just eight minutes, according to Nintendo, and will air at 10 a.m. ET.
This will be the first Pokémon Direct since February 2016, when Nintendo held a brief anniversary-themed livestream in honor of the series’ 20th birthday. During that stream, Nintendo revealed that Pokémon Sun and Moon were the newest mainline games in the role-playing game series.
There’s been rampant speculation since last November that a revamp of those Nintendo 3DS games would be heading to Nintendo Switch sometime this year. Reportedly called Pokémon Stars, the game has not been announced or revealed since the initial rumors swirled; it’s not clear if that’s what we’ll be seeing during tomorrow’s Pokémon Direct.
The stream will be available on Nintendo’s Twitch and YouTube channels. Check out Polygon to watch the quick Pokémon Direct, which The Pokémon Company hints will be followed by more “big Pokémon news” shortly thereafter.
