Marvel and Sony have released a number of trailers, teasers and TV spots for Spider-Man: Homecoming, but the latest trailer is all about the suit.
This isn’t the first time that Marvel has released a video detailing what makes Spider-Man’s suit special, but there are some pretty cool moments in the new trailer that will make gadget fans happy. One of the advantages that Spider-Man has, now that he’s in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, is access to the brilliant mind of Tony Stark. Spider-Man’s suit has all of the latest tech upgrades one with ties to the Avengers should have and Peter Parker is clearly happy with the result.
As seen in the GIF above, Spider-Man’s new suit has quite a bit in common with Iron Man’s own suits. Although Jarvis’ voice doesn’t make an appearance in the trailer, there is another AI helper built into the suit to help Spider-Man navigate. At the beginning of the trailer, the Spider-Man suit can be seen tucked neatly into a briefcase similar to ones seen in previous Iron Man and Avengers movies. It’s another example of how Marvel will use Spider-Man: Homecoming to tie into past Marvel Cinematic Universe films.
The trailer also focuses a little more on Spider-Man’s fight with Vulture, the main villain he’ll have to fight in the film. Despite a few new scenes, this is one of the least spoiler-filled trailers for Homecoming.
Spider-Man: Homecoming will be released on July 7.
