Digging back into The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt? Do not miss this graphics overhaul

HD retextures clean the place up a bit

If The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is still sitting in your pile of unplayed games have we got a treat for you. Modder HalkHoganPL has released a newly compiled version of his HD Reworked project, and it looks gorgeous.

The team at CD Projekt Red spent years creating the world of The Witcher 3 in great detail. What this mod does is re-texture and re-light many of the game’s background surfaces. Not only does it make them pop, it makes them more dynamic. Wood, stone and iron react to the light in ways they simply weren’t able to before making an already beautiful game that much more attractive.

Halk’s mod includes many completely new textures made from scratch. Many come with new lighting maps that work well with minimal impact on frame rate. Changes have been made to stone walls, wood walls and thatch roofs all over the game world as well as rocks, vegetation and furniture.

To load the mod, you’ll need the Nexus Mod Manager. If you’ve tinkered with any of The Elder Scrolls games over the years you may have it installed already. Complete instructions can be found here.
