Justice League’s new trailer teases Superman

Avengers Assem — no, wait ...

In a packed Hall H panel at San Diego Comic-Con today, Warner Bros. unveiled the latest trailer for its make or break superhero team blockbuster, Justice League.

The movie is expected to show audiences the formation of the Justice League, the premiere superhero team of the DC Universe — the world’s first line of defense against extra-solar threats, extra-dimensional threats and threats that are just plain extra. And there’s nobody more extra in the DC Universe than Darkseid, the tyrannical god of the planet Apokolips, who somehow manages to make a miniskirt seem stately.

Justice League will pit Wonder Woman, Batman, the Flash, Aquaman and Cyborg against Darkseid’s parademon armies, and if you didn’t understand any of what I just said, well, here’s a handy video.

The film is currently deep in post-production and reshoots, under the directorial hand of Joss Whedon. Zack Snyder stepped back from the project in May following a family tragedy.

Justice League will be released on Nov. 17.
