Warner Bros. teased two interesting developments regarding its lineup of DC Universe movies.
The Flash, which we’ve long known about, will take on a Flashpoint storyline. For those who may not have read the Flashpoint comic series — or aren’t fans of the CW’s Flash, which also used a Flashpoint theme in its most recent season — here’s what you need to know. Flashpoint was a 2011 crossover arc which led up to the DC Universe's relaunch, the New 52. In it, every superhero's role was significantly altered, and Barry Allen, The Flash, was the only one who seemed to notice. Warner Bros. didn’t provide too many other details on what that means for the movie, but it is interesting that the studio is incorporating that specific angle.
The studio also teased that Green Lantern Corps was coming to the DCU. Take this with a grain of salt, however, as the studio first hinted that it was in development a few years ago. Since then we haven’t heard much about Green Lantern, but Jason Momoa teased the character in a recent Instagram photo.
The next installment in the DCU, Justice League, will be released on Nov. 17.
