Resident Evil: Revelations will be released Aug. 29 on PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, Capcom announced today. But ports of the 2012 survival horror at sea game won’t stop there; Resident Evil: Revelations and its 2015 sequel are also coming to Nintendo Switch.
Resident Evil: Revelations and Resident Evil Revelations 2 will be released on Switch sometime during “late 2017,” Capcom confirmed in a release. Platform-specific details and price for the Switch version weren’t announced.
Update: Capcom announced that Resident Evil: Revelations and Revelations 2 are coming to Nintendo Switch on Nov. 28.
The previously announced PS4 and Xbox One versions of Resident Evil: Revelations will cost $19.99. Capcom says those versions will feature “a smoother 1920x1080 resolution, an improved framerate, increased environmental detail and refined creature movement.” The PS4 and Xbox One ports will include all previously released downloadable content as unlockable rewards. The publisher did not specify support for PlayStation 4 Pro or Xbox One X, but we’ve asked for details on those platforms.
The original Resident Evil: Revelations was released on Nintendo 3DS in 2012. Capcom later ported the game to PlayStation 3, Wii U, Windows PC and Xbox 360.
