The Sims 4 Cats & Dogs trailer

Publisher Electronic Arts has announced at Gamescom that after three long, petless years, cats and dogs are finally coming to The Sims 4.

A new expansion, aptly named Cats & Dogs, will add a robust “Create A Pet” tool allowing players to customize their own furry companions right down to their age, breed and personality traits. Players will be able to mix multiple breeds together and design their pets’ coats with a palette of patterns and colors. The expansion will also add a variety of clothing and accessories for pets — a first for The Sims series.

In addition to pets, Cats & Dogs will introduce the veterinarian occupation, adding the ability to build and run a vet business from the ground up. A new coastal harbor locale, Brindleton Bay, will be included in the expansion as well. Activities centered around the new pets will be available at Brindleton Bay, including fetch, obstacle courses and picking up the occasional stray cat or dog.

There’s no word on a price point just yet, but you can count on falling in love with your new pawed pals when Cats & Dogs launches on Nov. 10 for Mac and Windows PC.
